Center Management Group is Hiring a Recreation Aide Near Lincoln, NJ

Skilled Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility is seeking an individual to join the Recreation Department.

Qualifications :

- Must be able to read / write in the English language

- Highschool Diploma/ G.E.D

- Computer skills-People Oriented and Friendly

Job Description:

1. Document all activities timely and appropriately in Pro-Activity attendance

2. Reviews individual resident attendance and participation records with therapist

.3. Meets with Recreation Therapist for input and guidance regularly.

FACILITY-WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES & STANDARDS

1. Leads group activities for residents in a variety of recreational pursuits. i.e. parties, sing-a-longs, bingo, exercises, cooking, crafts, church activities, food related socials and Sensory Programs.

2. Adequately determines and accommodates resident needs, abilities and interests regarding leisure involvement.

3. Invites and escorts residents to appropriate unit programs.

4. Regularly provides and documents meaningful 1:1 in- room resident visits if indicated

5. Posts a written monthly activities schedule on assigned wing, near the nurses’ station and in Resident rooms.

6. Implements, in coordination with Program Director and Administrator, policies and procedures as they relate to the Therapeutic Recreation Department

7. Preparation for specialized Recreation programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB ACTIVITY

1. Demonstrate ability to handle stressful situations.

2. Must be able to write & speak the English language in an understandable manner.

3. Ability to relate and work with the physically and emotionally challenged resident

Job Type: Full-time;Part time 

The hours/schedule for the part time staff will be Wednesday 9-5, Thursday 9-5, Saturday 9-5, and Sunday 9-5.
